Getting Started with Your CommandPost Solution

To ensure your CommandPost solution is configured to meet your operational needs and agency objectives, we recommend collating the following key information to assist your assigned Account Manager with configurations. This will allow our team to ensure the solution is tailored to your functional, compliance, and reporting requirements.

1. User Access and Functional Areas

To establish secure and structured access to CommandPost:

• User List: Please provide a list of personnel who will require access to the solution.

• Functional Groupings (Optional): If applicable, include how these users should be grouped based on operational areas or responsibilities (e.g., Planning, Logistics, Public Information, etc.).

2. Reporting Requirements

To enable meaningful insights and effective post-incident reviews:

• Key Metrics: Outline any specific data points or reporting metrics you require. This enables us to configure additional fields and templates to ensure the data is captured during events and exercises.

3. Mapping and Operational Visualisation

CommandPost can incorporate multiple mapping elements to enhance situational awareness:

• Site Plan (DWG preferred or PDF format)

• Area & Zone Breakdown (include descriptions if available)

• Grid Reference Maps (if used operationally)

• GIS Location Markers: Please provide any location markers in a spreadsheet format (CSV or Excel). These can include asset locations, incident control points, evacuation centres, etc.

4. Digital Forms & Compliance Checklists

To support operational efficiency and streamline data capture:

• Custom Forms and Checklists: Submit any paper-based checklists or operational forms that you’d like to digitise. These can be incorporated into CommandPost and made available via the mobile application or secure web link. Examples include:

  • Incident Action Plan templates

  • Safety checklists

  • Situation Reports

  • Site Induction Forms
